Welcome to the next generation of Down Syndrome
My name is Sharon and I’m mum to two, carer to Ellie and currently on a mission to change people’s attitudes to Down Syndrome.
When I had Ellie, in 2009 her diagnosis was a shock after birth. I had never heard of the disability Down Syndrome and the future back then did not look rosy.
Fast forward to today and through everyday life experience, through the amazing Down Syndrome community and through her friends and family the future could not be more brighter.
Many people are aware of Down Syndrome and are beginning to see the person first, the ability and not the disability. Yet there is still such so much more that needs to be done to change people’s attitudes and that is when I chose to start this website; the T21 hub.
It will contain blogs, events and many amazing success stories to inspire others with Down Syndrome to believe in themselves and to support other parents who are in shock with the same diagnosis.
I hope you enjoy the site, feel free to leave any feedback and if you would like me to share your success story or event, see the Work With Me Page.
Enjoy and thank you for being here
